Meanwhile, Daniel is disappointed to learn that the can of vegetable soup that he planted will not grow into a vegetable soup tree. To make him feel better, Bob Dog secretly places cans of soup on a tree planted in Daniel's pot. When he sees how excited Daniel is that his soup actually "grew," Bob Dog doesn't have the heart to tell him the truth. Back at the house, Mister Rogers sings I Like to Be Told.
