**Different from what I was expecting.** I was surprised by how much I ended up liking this series. Just goes to show that you can't always trust the MDL ratings. The series has a somewhat lower production quality than most BLs made around this time, but that never detracted from my enjoyment of the story. Despite the series being low budget it was shot quite well and the actors did decent jobs considering that most of these actors had almost no other works listed under their profiles. The story was very intriguing and even though I did guess the plot twist almost right away I wasn't quite sure to what extent I was right (if you watch it you'll understand what I mean), in that regard I really did keep second guessing myself while trying to unravel the mystery. The story itself was pretty spooky too, there were a few scenes where I was sitting straight up and clutching my blankets lol. It's really a perfect series to watch for Halloween season. I also really enjoyed the relationship between the main leads. Usually in series like these there's a lot of fast paced trauma bonding and then they go their separate ways by the end, but in this story the writers actually set aside time for the two to go on dates, spend time together, and actually get to know each other which I really appreciated (oh, and let me tell you ep. 6 is the episode to look forward to). If I had to guess I'd say most people who didn't like this series were just confused about the lore. This isn't really the type of story where you have to put on your thinking cap and try to gather clues. Khen says multiple times that they're dreaming and there's ghost shenanigans on top of time traveling shenanigans so really this is the type of story where you kind of just have to throw logic out the window. Things kind of just happen and as the viewer we just have to go with it and let the story unfold how it wants to. With that being said I was still a bit disappointed by the ending (like literally just the last five minutes). It was a bit messy and confusing, I understand what the writers were wanting to do, but it just wasn't executed on screen very well. But still the entire rest of the story was pretty good and definitely worth the watch imo. General info for anyone wanting to know: • Is the series spicy/nsfw? No, it's very pg. There are scenes that hint at sex, but it never shows anything and clothes stay on at all times. • Is there noncon or violence? Yes, there are a lot of violent scenes, lots of blood, and very graphic death scenes. • Is there a love triangle? No. • Is the series scary? Yes, not in a jump scare way, but in a there's a lot of horrible and confusing things happening sort of way that can make you feel anxious. • Difference between cut and uncut? I haven't watched the cut version, but I saw complaints in the comments section on the cut version that the MLs didn't have any chemistry, which they definitely did in the uncut version so I will guess that it was relationship scenes between them that got cut.
