Vagabond - Volume 3

Four years after leaving his village, Takezo now travels under the name Miyamoto Musashi. At twenty-one, he arrives in Kyoto determined to test his swordsmanship against the renowned Yoshioka School.

Musashi takes his first steps into Kyoto's world of accomplished swordsmen. A brief encounter in the city reveals just how much he has yet to learn, even as his ambitions remain undiminished.

Confident in his strength, Musashi arrives at the Yoshioka School and demands to face its finest swordsmen. His audacious challenge puts him at odds with a school unwilling to tolerate his disrespect.

Musashi's challenge erupts into violence as he fights his way through the Yoshioka disciples. His raw ability unsettles the dojo and draws the attention of its most formidable members.

The Yoshioka brothers enter the confrontation, revealing two very different approaches to swordsmanship and responsibility. As Musashi refuses to withdraw, the true scale of his challenge becomes clear.

Musashi relies on instinct and ferocious determination against opponents whose technique has been honed through years of training. Every exchange exposes the fine line between courage and recklessness.

The battle at the Yoshioka School grows increasingly brutal. Musashi's fearsome intensity clashes with the discipline of a renowned school, leaving little room for hesitation.

Musashi's confidence is tested as he begins to understand the gulf between raw talent and mastery. His opponents force him to confront the limits of his experience.

With the confrontation nearing its peak, Musashi and Denshichiro seek an opening that could settle their struggle in an instant. Timing, resolve and control become as important as strength.

The duel at the Yoshioka School reaches a breaking point just as an unexpected fire throws the dojo into chaos. Amid the flames, the consequences of Musashi's challenge remain unresolved.
